ECO4 Scheme Explained
Free energy-saving home improvements for eligible UK households
The Energy Company Obligation Scheme
ECO4 is a UK government energy efficiency scheme that requires larger energy suppliers to deliver energy-saving measures to households, particularly those in fuel poverty or vulnerable to the effects of living in a cold home.
Running from April 2022 to March 2026, the scheme provides completely free home improvements including insulation and heating upgrades to eligible households.
These improvements help reduce energy consumption, lower bills, and create warmer, more comfortable living spaces while contributing to the UK’s net-zero carbon targets.
